The future of L-city: research in your own city

In the city we find many objects that have been present for years. These can be objects that tell us something about the past and people from the past. From murals to statues. But it can also be everyday objects that we don't even notice anymore.
Some objects have still the same function, other objects have lost their original function. But all objects have a story.
We are going to discover those stories!
Together with the students, we make a pre-selection of objects that are located in the city of Leiden. Option: Creating a poll and voting online via polls on our Facebook page, determines public which object can tell its story.
Then the students start to investigate their past:
who ever invented an object, when and why?
Then the students do ethnographic object research through an object interview. These interviews are filmed. In the interviews, the objects tell about their past, the present and how they envision the future.
"People lean on me, go on sit with me and I see everything happen on the street.
In the future I would like to have a Help function"
